“Bethan is a strategic leader in health innovation and passionate about developing and harnessing talent. She founded Aliciyo to focus her work with businesses and investors to increase their impact in healthcare. Beth is quick to assess the most effective way of developing a new product or service, scoping projects to provide evidence of value for the right audience and for adoption at scale. She is at her best when providing strategic insight, making connections across her network, maximising her years of knowledge and expertise of working within and across the UK health system. Beth believes that global healthcare systems will only be successful if we innovate within them and around them. Partnership working which involves leveraging the expertise from small to large healthcare businesses and other sectors is key to this. Beth has developed a distinctive 20+ year career within the pharmaceutical industry (Pfizer, Adelphi Group, PPD Development) and healthcare. Prior to founding Aliciyo she worked for over 16 years in the NHS where she led innovation, research and industry engagement. Throughout this time she worked with hundreds of healthcare businesses (majority of these being tech focussed or digitally enabled), through NHS, EU, industry and investor funded programmes, helping them to develop their business strategies and engage with the right NHS staff & organisations and in the right way. Beth currently works with a wide range of investors and businesses from large blue chip organisations and the public sector, including the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (Serendip Smart Cities Incubator), Birmingham Science City Alliance & EIT Health through to the smallest of SMEs with solutions spanning social care, public health and direct to consumer markets.
