Dr Cosima Gretton

Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust Author at The King’s Fund, Founder at AXNS Collective

Dr Cosima Gretton is an Academic Foundation Doctor at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and an expert in digital health. She is currently conducting research for Outcomes-Based Healthcare using machine learning on smartphone sensor data to predict health outcomes in people with diabetes. Alongside clinical practice at St Thomas’ Hospital, she has formed a clinician-led digital health team to help improve the trust’s in-house electronic noting system. She is also a Teaching Fellow on the UCL Technology Entrepreneurship MSc. She consults for digital health start-ups regarding product design for behaviour change, and writes for publications such as WIRED Magazine and the King’s Fund on health technology. She speaks for highly prestigious global organisations on digital health matters. She is an alumnus of the Singularity University Graduate Studies Program in Silicon Valley and a Fellow of the Digital Health Forum, with whom she organises conferences and events across London. Prior to working as a doctor she founded science communication company AXNS Collective, funded by the Wellcome Trust and the Arts Council.
