The Role

We are looking for a fantastic intern to join our Venture Development team and work on launching and delivering a new venture development programme in partnership with GE Healthcare.  

The EMEA Edison™ Accelerator is a start-up and scale-up acceleration & healthcare provider collaboration programme designed by GE Healthcare in partnership with Wayra UK.  

As an intern on the EMEA Edison Acceleration programme you will work closely with the Programme Manager and Head of Venture Development to deliver an engagement programme for the AI healthcare start-ups selected to join. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with founders at beginning of their entrepreneurial journeys.

Activities include:

• Support on scouting the best companies to join the programme  
• Organising an assessment day and programme onboarding
• Finding the best healthcare mentors, founders and experts who can support the programme  
• Liaising with GE Healthcare, the  Wayra team and start-ups to deliver the best support  
• Scheduling meeting, panels and office hours  
• Support the Programme Manager with other operational and programme delivery tasks  

Requirements:

• A passion for entrepreneurship and working in the start-up ecosystem, interest in digital healthcare a plus
• Great communication skills
• Digital Mindset and tech-savvy
• Proactive with a can-do attitude  
• Comfortable with quick changes and tight deadlines
